Original Article Cadore et al. Preventive Angioplasty in Myocardial Infarction Arq Bras Cardiol. 2020; 115(2):229-237 Conclusions In the present study, we used real-world data from clinical practice at two centers in southern Brazil and found that, in patients with multivessel CAD within the context of STEMI undergoing primary PCI, the CR strategy is associated with a significant reduction in primary and secondary outcomes in a 1-year follow-up when compared to the IR strategy. These data should prompt discussion about current clinical and institutional protocols.
