If an artifact is highly suspected, corroborated by the presence of systolic thickness of LV walls without alterations, angio-CT may avoid unnecessary catheterization, even in patients with higher probabilities of CAD. Within Brazilian experience, in a laboratory with a high nuclear cardiology volume, only 24% of patients with mild myocardial ischemia on MPS referred for angio-CT have obstructive CAD.
